Hi! Hi! Hi! I’m George, George, George! I’m so very excited to meet you, I’m practically jumping up and down! OK, I _am_ jumping up and down! My Foster mom keeps telling me that people aren’t sure what to make of me when I do that, but honestly, I’m just so excited, I can hardly hold it in! Maybe they should’ve just named me Tigger and be done with it! Anyway, I’m a handsome fawn great dane who couldn’t be cuter. They tell me I’m 5 but what’s in a number--I feel like I’m still a crazy teenager! I love my people, love running around in the yard, and seem to be a constant source of entertainment to my foster family.
When people come to the house, I get so excited to meet them, but then I don’t really know them, but it’s so exciting, but it’s a little scary. All that, it’s no wonder I jump like a pogo stick! My new people are going to have to continue to help me find a better way to meet people, but I’m so worth it, I can’t imagine that’ll hold you back. I met some cats the other day—they sure are interesting creatures and I sure would like to meet more, but I’m more interested in my foster mom and my new surroundings, so that’s OK. I guess I can live with them if they’re around. I’ve also met other dogs, and, guess what?? I get all excited about them too!!! Yay! The little ones are a bit easier for me but I do OK with the big dogs if we walk a bit first and have some time to calm down. I don’t mind kids at all but my foster mom says older kids would be better since I love anything new so much that I won’t let anyone at all near whatever it is. Of course, I get bored of it after a while but until then, I’m George the Dragon, defending my stash!
You won’t believe how awesome I am! I’m so good in the house, I stay all by myself while the adults are at work and I don’t mess up a thing. And of course, I don’t chew on people things or counter surf—I’m way too good for that amateur stuff. I’m smart too (I know, you’re hardly surprised!). I know my basic commands and I really listen well. Yes, yes, yes!! I’m a good, good, good Tigger…I mean George!
With all of my enthusiasm, you might be surprised to know that I'm a regular, laid back dane at home. I really want a nice backyard of my own, and a nice routine I can follow. It takes me a bit to be comfortable with new people, but once you're my buddy, you'll see the best of me! Interested in adopting me?
