Lincoln is a handsome 6 1/2 year old black male with natural ears. He came to the rescue through a shelter so little is known about his background. Lincoln does start off his meeting with others a little shy, however, he warms up quickly. He enjoys being with his foster brothers and sisters. Lincoln is house trained and will give you a nudge to let you know when he needs to go out. He would do best in a calm, low activity home. He has sensitive feet so when grooming he needs someone willing to be patient with him. He does demonstrate some food protection behaviors so it would be best to feed him separately. His foster home isolates during food and snack times thus eliminating his need to protect. Lincoln is unsure of any size high strung, hyper or noisy dog. As for cats he has high curiosity - he likes to play chase but he hasn't caught any. Lincoln could only be placed with children over the age of 12 years and even then they must be calm, relaxed and self confident. Even though he is a very large Dane he loves attention, gives kisses, leans and snuggles in bed (king size) with his brothers, sisters and foster family.
Lincoln came into MAGDRL in August 2011.
