Wolfgang is showing great improvement in his foster home.  He is very active and playful.  He loves to play with his big red ball.  He plays hard with the female Dane in and the home and really loves the “Chase Game”.  He no longer barks and howls when left along.  He loves his humans and especially likes back scratches.

Wolfgang is not your typical couch potato; he likes to be on his dog bed near your feet.  He has lived with cats in his previous home; however, we have no experience with him meeting cats. He is becoming more treat motivated and will respond quickly to direction to get them.  Wolfgang is waiting for the right home to make his own.  If you think your family is the right fit let us know.

Wolfgang is a 5-year-old blue, neutered male Dane. He is a friendly dog that warms up quickly to meeting humans. He has also met several large dogs very well and very quickly. He does not like being alone much and is very vocal about it with barking and howls so it would be ideal if a potential adopter was home most of the time. He prefers humans over other dogs but will gladly play until he is exhausted. He plays hard and it would be best that he be placed with a large female because he can be pushy at time. He has shown some dominance behavior with the other dogs, but they seem to work it out. He loves being with humans and love back scratches and just being in your presence. He needs work with walking on the leash as he apparently has not had much practice with it. In time he will be a pro, he just needs more practice. He has a very strong prey drive so small dogs or cats are not recommended.

He has been eating 2 cups of kibble twice a day and it seems to be enough. He is not incredible treat motivated but loved being with his humans and is very attentive to them.

Wolfgang will make a nice dog to a potential family he just wants to be part of the family.

This handsome grey muzzled, distinguished boy doesn’t act his age of 6.  He acts like a BIG puppy.  He has an exuberant energy which shows in his desire to play.  He never refuses to play, and this seems to be his number one purpose in life. Speaking of life choices, if you are looking for a Dane that gives kisses, then he is your man!  Wolfgang is not a Dane that is comfortable going to dog parks as he can be selective when meeting other dogs out and about. He shouldn’t be introduced to small dogs or cats as he doesn’t do well with them.  He is very treat motivated and has a strong desire to please.  If you want the coolest, unique boy who is content with being hoe, he is the dog for you.
